Ice from the Antarctic melted to create the world’s most expensive beer

most-expensive-beer.jpg In a world where titles change hands in a jiffy, a new contender for the world’s most expensive beer tag comes from Australia where a bottle of Antarctic Nail Ale earned as much as $800 under the hammer!

Limited to 30 bottles, the special beer has been brewed at the Nail Brewing headquarters at Edith Cowan University in Perth. Sold for an auction aiding the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society, the malt has been created from Antarctic ice which was retrieved from their anti-whaling campaign in the Southern Ocean. More over it is said to be 90% water making it the purest and oldest beer in the world too.
